  1. My hometown is Orange Texas... right on the Texas/Louisiana Border. Because of the proximity to Louisiana, you could always count on Cajun food - even at the local grocery store. There's a grocery store called Market Basket and you can get the best Boudain Balls ever! Don't know what a Boudain Ball is? Well, that's just too bad!

  2. My hometown is Orange, Texas too. Honestly I don't 'really' miss anything about it, but if I had to say one thing I missed it would be Big B Donuts. I went a few years ago and they have new owners, a new name and the donuts aren't nearly as good.

  3. Kerrville, TX - does it get any more Texan than that. Sentimental reasons - being close enough to family that we can participate in family get-togethers. Mamacita's - the best green sauce ever. And Taco Casa's sweet tea for 92 cents. Boudain Balls are the bomb!

  5. Well my hometown is Austin and I love the fact that still live so close to it. BUT when we were living out of state (Maryland) we missed Blue Bell ice cream, Big Red soda, Mexican food but most of all the friendliness of people. Maryland is not a friendly state
