I read multiple books at a time - Voices of the Faithful is a devotional, my fave one ever. Stop Acting Like A Christian, Just be One by Chris Caine and I am rereading the Gospels. I read Becoming a Contagious Christian before, and for some reason it took me awhile to get through it. And Standing in the Rainbow by Fannie Flagg. I read at bedtime and when the girls nap on my bed with ceiling fan on full blast and 6 pillows.
I am currently reading "The Beloved Disciple" by Beth Moore. It's a study of John. I also began (again) "Driven By Eternity" by John Bevere.
I'll soon be reading "Five Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter" by Vicky Courtney for a church small group study.
Just finished "Same Kind of Different As Me" (can't remember the authors) for book club and it was excellent! New book to read for the book club will be decided on this week.
I like to pleasure read as well, and I suppose my favorite genre is "chick lit" but these days I rarely have time to read just for fun!
I have a few books going at once, but only one per category. I am usually reading a fiction book for pleasure, a spritual book, and a "work" related book (which now is usually child-development-related.) I am reading Henri Nouwen's "With Burning Hearts"; Louise Bates Ames "Your Four Year Old"; and John Irving's "Owen Meany." I do finish the fiction books faster because that's what I enjoy most.
